Jersey native Jonathan Salomon better known by his stage name Jay Phive, never thought that his destiny in life was to become a music artist. He started writing poetry at the tender age of seven years old, but also had dreams of becoming a basketball player and making it to the NBA. He perused his sports dream, but quickly realized that basketball wasn’t his true love.
It’s been 5 years since Jay has began writing rhymes again and has studied lyrics from Jay-Z, Nas to Tupac and Kendrick Lamar. His debut mixtape Ego Trip uses unique flows and techniques mixed with an array of sounds that will please mainstream and underground listeners.
Ego Trip is the beginning of what is believed to be a long memorial career for Jay Phive. Listen to the exclusive 3 track tape below.
